Acid reflux or will i get sick?

well i have acid reflux and ive been getting nausea with it lately. ive had it reallly bad for about 5 hours now and it wont go away. i tried tums and pepto bismol but i still feel so nauseated like im gonna get sick! i didnt throw up and my mouth taste like vomit :/ i could really taste it while brushing my teeth. do you think im gonna throw up or is it due to my acid reflux? and will chewing gum help it or make it worse
