Is it too early to take a pregnacny test?

My last period was on may 31...i normally run 35 day cycles, which means i should start on the 4th of july...for about a week i have been sick. throwing up, nauseated, cramps, and sharp pains in my lower stomach...i took a pg test 4 days ago, that was neg. then another one yesterday, that was "kind of positive"..it was a light blue, line that made a positive line....someone told me to count that as a neg? and that its too early too test...any advice? thanks in advance :)
